I was connected to Erica and Thomas by the lovely Jill of Jillian Nicole Events. Right away, we clicked on a personal level and I knew these two were going to have a gorgeous wedding! During our engagement session, the two of them talked about the romantic silhouettes and florals that would be decorating their backyard ceremony. Their romantic engagement session was the the perfect prelude to their spring, garden wedding.
When I arrived to their house, I was absolutely blown away by the lush garden florals arranged by Moss and Meadow Florals. It was a scorcher of a day, but she was working hard behind the scenes to create a timeless ceremony arch. This private residence wedding featured the largest peonies I’ve ever seen- my favorite flower!
Another thing the couple told me was their love of food, and how important it is in their relationship. When the two were dating long distance (LA to SD), they fell in love with Phil’s BBQ– a staple casual restaurant found only in San Diego County. So they decided to bring the restaurant’s full-service food truck all the way up to their backyard. And let me tell you- it was worth every penny.
Surrounded by their tight-knit friends and family, the couple danced their hearts out and enjoyed the beginning moments of being husband and wife. This was a night to remember, and I am beyond honored to have photographed their love. Weddings like this is what I live for!
